First blog post, first Busselton photo shoot

Welcome to the McKillop Photography blog. As this is my first post, I thought it appropriate it should relate to my first commissioned photo shoot when arriving in Busselton.

The shoot that I undertook was in architectural photography for the award-winning builder, ProLiving of Dunsborough. They design & build bespoke houses here in the South West Region.

It was shot in the suburb of Geographe, the property was a new build. The house actually went on to win a HIA Award In the category of of ‘Innovative Design & Lightweight Construction’ in its price category for the South West of Western Australia. It was also a Finalist in the same HIA Awards for ‘Best Custom House’, once again in its price category.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this property. It was good to start a new chapter in my photographic career here in Busselton and the South West. Having not undertaken any photographic work for several months due to the move from London back to our native WA.

Since that first shoot I’ve now gone on to complete numerous architectural photo shots. For ProLiving and the architectural designer, Ciaran at Designed By C plus West Winds Distillery of Cowaramup.
